A collaboration with bees. This necklace is cast from a single hexagonal prism of honeycomb in shining sterling silver, with an interior golden hollow evocative of honey.
NATURAL HISTORY
Honeycomb is built by bees to store pollen and honey and to hold their larvae.
This honeycomb came originally from Virginia-based beekeeper Amanda Welch and her bees at Meeting House Farm.
METAPHOR
Industry and devotion. The feeling of being still in a patch of clover with the hum of insects.
