The EndoWarrior Program
About Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of your uterus is found outside of the uterus, causing pain and infertility. Endometriosis affects 10% of reproductive-aged girls and women. This is approximately 190 million women across the world. There are several severe symptoms that are associated with the disease, such as immensely painful periods, pain during or after sexual intercourse, infertility, fatigue, anxiety or depression, heavy bleeding, nausea and abdominal bloating, and pelvic pain.
There is no way to prevent endometriosis, but an early diagnosis can slow further progression and prevent future complications. A big issue why diagnosis takes an average of 10 years to address is the lack of awareness and the normalization of symptoms. There is no known cause for endometriosis, but you can be predisposed if it affects a mother or sister.
Kristin’s Story
After being left to struggle alone without access to proper care by the medical community and couchbound from chronic pain for six years, Kristin decided it was time to speak out. Talking about painful menstruation and other female issues is taboo in this society, and she felt she needed to share her story and start these conversations with other women. She knew she wasn’t alone and wanted to let other women know they weren’t either.
Kristin traveled across the U.S. for two years, giving speeches to thousands of professionals and patients at medical conferences. She hoped to change the standard of care for women with endometriosis and empower them to share their stories and seek care. Women can educate themselves more on endometriosis and receive the care they need while educating others. Kristin is a fantastic example that advocating for yourself and your health is paramount. At The Jeweled Warrior, we want women not just to survive; we want them to take their lives back and thrive!
About The EndoWarrior Program
Kristin ensures The Jeweled Warrior does its part by helping women with endometriosis through the EndoWarrior Program. This program donates 1% of all The Jeweled Warrior profits to provide assistance for women whose lives have been severely impacted by endometriosis. One in ten women suffers from this condition and experiences extreme physical and emotional pain. The emotional toll, financial instability, intense pain, and infertility can create irreversible changes in a woman’s life. This program is designed to recognize and support women struggling with this condition.
If you are interested in donating to The EndoWarrior Program, click here! When you donate, your contribution will be given to “Endo What?” a nonprofit committed to raising awareness about endometriosis. Every $35 that is donated can supply one school nurse kit that helps identify endometriosis in children. The kit contains essential information and educational tools that the school can use. The same girls being sent to the nurse's office month after month may receive help at an early age instead of living with the disease unknowingly.
Endometriosis is a disease that needs to be taken more seriously, which is why Kristin has been so vocal about her experience and journey. She is an inspiration to The Jeweled Warrior community, and we are grateful to have such a fantastic person as an advocate for this diagnosis. The EndoWarrior Program aims to improve lives and spread awareness for those not adequately cared for. Spread awareness this month and celebrate those strong women who are battling every single day.
