Why is your art important to you?
I find making things to be extremely soothing and meditative. It allows me to express and explore my thoughts & feelings in a healthy way.
Why did you choose to teach yoga and meditation?
It is a whole lifestyle practice of the mind, body, breath, emotions, intellect, and energy bodies. It is the lens in which you view and interact with the world around you. The asana is great, but there is so much more and that is what I strive to practice in my life and infuse into my offerings.
What do you do to give back?
I enjoy volunteering with a local rescue to offer reiki to animals in need. I also reduce my footprint by choosing green products and living a plant based lifestyle.
What do you hope your art inspires in others?
That they hold all the power within themselves to sit with the shadows, reflect, heal, grow, and thrive by connecting deeper with the mind, body, breath, and spirit. I hold a safe space, provide gentle guidance, and encourage everyone to meet themselves exactly as they are.
