What makes your jewelry unique?
I work with castings of natural objects so there is a very high level of accuracy in the details. That almost scientific-ness is important to me. Each piece is essentially a perfect replica of the natural object, yet in solid fine metal.
Why is sustainability important to your art?
I use recycled fine metals because it’s important to me to do as little harm as possible with my studio practice. I love the poetic valence of recycled metals: gold and silver have been melted and remade for thousands of years. Pieces made from recycled metal have a secret history to them.

What do you do to give back?
I’m very interested in accounting (especially for small businesses) and I’m studying to help with the IRS’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
