What makes your art unique?

Each piece is one of a kind, woven from vintage fabrics and yarns. The colors and textures are inspired by my gardens.

Why is sustainability important to your art?

The earth has more trash from us than it can handle. We need to reuse all that we can to preserve this planet and the creatures on it. Also preserving the beauty created before us, the story of our past, is very important.

What do you do to give back?

I try to use as many products from local small businesses. Also donate items (clothing etc) for reuse. In my gardening I avoid pesticides and I compost.

What do you hope your art inspires in others?

An appreciation of the skill and craftsmanship that goes into creating everyday items. So many skills have gone by the wayside with all the mass production today.
