What makes your art unique?

Steel art has stereotypically been more of a man’s medium, at Keystone Steel Co., we are female-owned and operated and combining a typically male medium with a woman’s touch create a distinct uniqueness to our products.

Why is sustainability important to your art?

We use recycled steel to create our products and the recycle the scraps from our sheets of steel again. This sustainability is important to us because we are stewards of the earth and we are happy our product contributes in a positive way to sustainability as a mission.

What do you do to give back?

10% of our profits are donated to initiatives close to our heart in our community, sometimes via non-profit donation, but more often we look for needs and fill them in a tangible way. I seek to live generously and with an open hand, not only internally with my employees, but externally in the community we live in.

What do you hope your art inspires in others?

I hope people look at Keystone Steel Co. and think “Wow. Girls CAN do that.” We work in a machine shop, we cut steel, we run forklifts, we fix plasma tables. And we are women.
