What makes your art unique?
My art is a testament to my meticulous nature, as I infuse every piece with intricate details. My audience is captivated by the layers of depth in each work, often discovering new “surprises” upon each viewing. This is particularly evident in my coloring books, where colorists spend hours interacting with each illustration, uncovering hidden secrets with each coloring session.
Why is storytelling important to you?
As an artist and author, I use storytelling as a tool to transport my audience to other-worldly realms, where their everyday worries can be left behind for a brief escape into the imagination. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to embrace the power of storytelling and find respite from reality in a world of fantasy!
What do you do to give back to nature or your community?
I enjoy planting pollinator gardens. With a focus on pesticide-free planting, I hope to attract and nourish vital creatures like bees and butterflies. I have a special place in my heart for the endangered monarch butterfly, and I am a strong advocate for planting native milkweed, which is their host plant. I hope to raise awareness and inspire action towards preserving our precious pollinators.
What do you hope your art inspires in others?
Through my art, I seek to transport viewers into the enchanted realm of the “Mystical Lands” - a make-believe world of my own creation. My pieces evoke a sense of childlike wonder, inviting grown-ups to believe in magic and fairies once more.
