I am a Phoenixville based multimedia artist using photography, drawing, and writing to explore the nuance of healing and communicating through friendships - even when not in each other's presence. The works I've included are a part of a collaborative series in which I exchanged correspondence with a close friend, Dani Dimon, both in film and later in writing. The friendship developed between Dani and myself has seen us both through late neurodivergent diagnoses that have explained and validated our lived experiences growing up. While our society is in the midst of broadening our understanding and acceptance of how mental health affects us, growing up without understanding the reasons why I seemed to experience the world differently led to difficulties in living fully and authentically. Making connections later in life has been a beautiful way of reconnecting with and accepting myself as complete.  Dani and I used the project as a way to document the moments in our relationship which we both lean on and bolster each other, and in turn continue through our healing journeys.
