Join local artist and owner of Playthings Studio, Jessi Stead, for a fidget jewelry making workshop. You will have the chance to make your own custom necklace from her Framed Collection. Jessi will go over the basic techniques step-by-step to make sure you leave with a one of a kind necklace that you can actually play with while you're wearing it. You will learn all of her tricks using just pliers, hammers and can even add your initials to make the design truly your own.
.......
How Playthings Studio got started:
We all have tactile, sensory and stimulatory needs, and yet touch is the least appealed to sense in our professional and personal lives. Playthings Studio fidget jewelry was designed to help us get through the day, replace our bad habits, build our confidence, and help us accept our need for stimulation.
What you will love about Playthings Studio:
Functional design that works as a discrete, stigma-free, empowering, “grown-up” alternative to fidget toys. Playthings Studio jewelry spins, flips, rolls, and slides in your hands, allowing you to connect to a sense of touch and engage your subconscious brain in a healthy, therapeutic, motor-control-focused activity that doesn’t hurt or cause insecurity the way biting your nails does.
