What makes your jewelry unique?

I really haven’t seen anything out there that is quite like it, and that was definitely on purpose—I didn’t want my work to look like anyone else’s! I developed my folding technique to create pieces that have a graceful fluidity and big visual impact, while still being lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Why is sustainability important to your art?

Sustainability is important, because once I became aware of the effects on real people in different parts of the  supply chain, I desperately wanted to find a better way to source materials. If we care about how people are treated, the simplest thing that designers can do is to support these sustainable suppliers with our purchases.”

What do you do to give back?

My current project is a fundraiser for the Frontline Families Fund, which supports the families of medical workers who have died of Covid with grants and scholarships. Through the sales of my Mended Heart Pendant, I’ve donated over $16,000 to the fund!

What do you hope your art inspires in others?

I think of my pieces as small scale wearable sculptures—and so I hope that the people who own my work think of them as interesting and beautiful little sculptures that can be worn.
