What makes your art unique?
Matches are back! They are considered more environmentally friendly than lighters. We wrap our matchboxes in handmade paper giving each box its own unique characteristics. There is something soothing and satisfying about striking a match!
Why is sustainability important to your art?
Wooden matches are biodegradable and will not remain in the environment, unlike a disposable lighter. Matches can be thrown into the fire after lighting or added to the compost pile. We also love hearing how our buyers reuse and recycle our matchboxes.
What do you do to give back?
Every year we plant a different type of tree to make a positive impact on the environment. Matches are made from trees so we give back to Mother Earth as a thank you.
What do you hope your art inspires in others?
To light your own light! To create illuminated memories - lighting candles on birthday cakes, creating warm cozy fires or sharing celebratory cigars. Letting our matchboxes become a part of your home decor.
