What makes your art unique?

I’m a creative problem solver by nature. I enjoy bridging research, analytical thinking, and organized processes with beauty, inspiration, and balance. As a visual communicator, that’s possible through so many different means—branding, print, web design, as well as fine art, illustration, and surface design. What is most important in the final form is that I’ve committed to my craft, explored something that myself—or my clients—are passionate about, and created the desired feeling as an end result.

Why is sustainability important to your art?

When I think about how sustainability comes into play within my own artistic practice, I’m thinking about not being wasteful. It’s important to me that we slow down, see the impact our actions make, respect our natural resources, and the environment. It’s easy to get caught up in the consumerism mentality that is ever present in our culture. My goal is to create artwork and decorative items that can stand the test of time—creating slow, intentional art.

What do you do to give back?

I look for opportunities to support environmentally-minded and mission-driven businesses with their branding and marketing materials. I make it a priority to support and work with businesses that I can stand behind.

What do you hope your art inspires in others?

I hope my art inspires others to slow down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. I’m slowing down to study nature, to shine light on the little joys of our direct environment, and in doing so, hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
